CLARITY, ACTION & ACCOUNTABILITY

What Is Life Coaching?

Life coaching is a collaborative, one-on-one partnership that helps you clarify what you want, work through obstacles, and take practical steps toward your goals. A life coach offers thoughtful questions, structure, and accountability as you decide what matters and how to move forward.

You might focus on a life or career transition, healthier boundaries, more sustainable habits, or a clearer sense of direction. With Dan Abbott, your priorities guide the conversation, and together you turn them into manageable next steps.

Coaching supports your goals and personal development. It does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and is not a substitute for therapy.

Find Clarity

Explore your values, sort through competing priorities, and decide what you want to work toward.

Create a Plan

Break larger goals into realistic actions that fit your life, time, and responsibilities.

Follow Through

Review your progress, adjust when needed, and build consistency with support and accountability.

A Partnership Built Around Your Goals

You bring your priorities, questions, and hopes for the future. Dan brings careful listening, thoughtful questions, and support as you decide what to do next.

Support to Follow Through

Review what you try, learn from what happens, and adjust your next steps with consistent accountability.

What Can You Work On With a Life Coach?

Your goals shape the conversation. Personal life coaching can support changes in your work, daily routines, and the way you make room for your own priorities.

Life & Career Transitions

Explore a new role, a career change, or a different chapter of life. Clarify your options and choose a realistic next step.

Purpose & Direction

Identify your values and what a meaningful life looks like to you. Use that clarity to guide your choices.

Time & Workload

Sort competing demands, protect focus time, and build routines that leave room for work, rest, and relationships.

Boundaries & Communication

Prepare for important conversations, communicate your needs, and decide where to say yes or no.

Leadership Challenges

Work through delegation, decision-making, and competing responsibilities as a manager or nonprofit leader.

Habits & Accountability

Break larger goals into actions you can repeat. Notice what helps you follow through and adjust what does not.

When Might Life Coaching Be a Good Fit?

You don’t need a perfectly defined goal to start. Coaching may be useful when you want space to think and are ready to explore changes you can put into practice.

You Feel Stuck

Your current path no longer feels right, but you are unsure which direction to take.

Your Goals Feel Too Big

You know what you want to work toward and need help breaking it into manageable steps.

You Want More Follow-Through

You keep putting your own priorities aside and would value a regular space for accountability.

You’re Ready for a Change

You want your routines, work, and decisions to reflect what matters to you now.

What Life Coaching Is—and What It Isn’t

Coaching focuses on your goals, choices, and practical action. Dan works alongside you to explore possibilities and develop a plan; you remain responsible for deciding what fits your life.

Life coaching is not therapy and does not diagnose or treat mental health conditions. It also does not guarantee a particular outcome. If you’re unsure whether Dan’s approach fits what you need, a discovery call is a place to ask questions and discuss the scope of his support.

MEET YOUR COACH

Meet Dan Abbott, Your New Life Coach

Certified Life Coach

Certified Fundraising Executive

I’ve spent more than a decade working in the nonprofit sector. I understand how easy it can be to focus on everyone else’s needs while losing sight of your own direction.

In 2016, I hired a life coach. That experience helped me organize my workflow, clear mental clutter, and reconnect my everyday decisions with my long-term purpose.

It also inspired me to offer that kind of support to others. Today, I work one-on-one with individuals and people in nonprofits to explore what matters, create practical plans, and follow through.

How Does Life Coaching Work?

Online Coaching combines thoughtful conversation with action between sessions. The focus and pace depend on your goals and the package you choose.

01 · Start With a Conversation

Book a free 15-minute discovery call to share what you are looking for and ask about Dan’s approach. Nonprofit leaders arranging coaching for others start by submitting the contact form.

02 · Choose a Focus & Make a Plan

In your sessions, review what is happening, explore obstacles, and choose realistic actions. Most sessions last 45 minutes; the Individual Single Breakthrough package includes one hour-long session.

03 · Review, Adjust & Keep Going

Try your agreed steps, notice what works, and bring your learning into the next conversation. Meeting frequency and between-session support depend on the package you arrange with Dan.

Frequently Asked Questions About Virtual Life Coaching

Clear answers to help you decide on your next step.

How long are coaching sessions?

Most sessions are 45 minutes. The Individual Single Breakthrough package is one hour. The free discovery call is 15 minutes.

How often will we meet?

You and Dan agree on a schedule based on your goals, availability, and package. Discuss the frequency that would work for you during your discovery call.

Are all sessions virtual?

Dan offers sessions by Zoom or phone. Keeping these sessions virtual helps to make sure you are able to fit these sessions into your schedule.

How long will I need coaching?

That depends on your goals and the level of support you want. You can choose a focused session or a package and review your needs as you make progress.

How will I know whether I’m making progress?

You and Dan can define concrete signs of progress: a decision made, an action completed, a boundary communicated, or a habit you are practicing more consistently.

Can my nonprofit book coaching for staff?

Yes. A leader submits the contact form, has a discovery call with Dan, and chooses a package. Once arranged, each participant books their own one-on-one meetings. The organization’s invoice is sent separately before the first paid session.

How much does coaching cost?

Pricing depends on the package. View current coaching options and pricing, or discuss your needs during the free discovery call.

What if coaching is not the right fit?

Use the discovery call to ask questions and explore whether Dan’s approach fits your needs. If it does not, you can discuss other kinds of support without purchasing a package.

Meet Dan...

Hi! I am Dan

My Mission
My passion is coming alongside individuals and non-profits to
help them reach their visions, goals, and dreams.
My Story
I have spent over 10 years working directly within the non-profit
sector. I understand the unique challenges of mission-driven
work, tight resources, and the constant demand to balance big
visions with everyday execution.
Years ago, I found myself needing direction. I hired a personal
coach who transformed my approach to life and career. They
helped me organize my workflow, clear my mental clutter, and
align my daily actions with my long-term purpose.
That experience was instrumental in how I operate today. It also
sparked a deep desire within me to provide that exact same
breakthrough for others.
How I Help
• Individual Strategy: Turning personal overwhelm into
structured, actionable life and career plans.
• Non-Profit Growth: Aligning organizational mission with
practical, sustainable strategic goals.
• Accountability Partnership: Providing the consistent
support needed to sustain long-term momentum.
